Our sub-specialised Radiologists are highly skilled and experienced in women’s imaging and continue to develop their knowledge through supported professional development programs. They work closely with referring practitioners to provide each patient with expert, safe, accurate and individualised care.

Breast

Most women will have their breasts examined during their lifetime, as it is particularly important to start having mammograms once you turn 40. Aside from annual screening tests, you may be referred for a series of breast imaging procedures by your doctor for several reasons:

  • identification of lumps or noticeable abnormalities in the breast tissue or nipple region
  • diagnose and monitor breast cancer and tumors
  • evaluate breast implant integrity

We use a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, and often combine several examinations for a more accurate diagnosis. All mammograms performed at the Peel Specialist Centre and Bunbury Health Campus and reported by our sub-specialised Radiologists.

Breast scans include:

  • Mammography
  • Ultrasound
  • Breast MRI
  • Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and Core Biopsy
  • Nuclear Medicine (Lymphoscintigraphy)
