Dr Rakesh Gadvi

Dr Rakesh Gadvi is a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Radiologist with extensive experience in reporting PET CT’s, including FDG and PSMA imaging.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree (MBBS) in 2001 and has advanced his skill set from there out working in various surgical specialties as a junior doctor in UK . In 2006 he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in Edinburgh and Glasgow. He subsequently undertook specialist training in Radiology in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and completed a Fellowship at the Royal College of Radiologists, UK in 2012.

He has subspecialty training in Radionuclide Radiology and Musculoskeletal Radiology. Post completion of radiology training, he undertook 4 months of PET CT fellowship in Birmingham before being employed as a Consultant Radiologist at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham in 2015.

He was the lead radiologist for Nuclear Medicine in one of the busiest Nuclear Medicine departments in the UK between 2018-2022, overseeing the introduction of a number of newer imaging tracers and studies including F18 and Ga68 PSMA.

Moving to Western Australia in early 2022 with his wife and two boys seeking sunshine and great weather, he looks forward to getting out and enjoying this beautiful country.

If he is not traveling around the local hot spots, you can find him at the sports center, partaking in squash, badminton, and the odd game of cricket.
